Penny pincher in the making? No~ Im not~ I'm just a poor college student who can't afford to splurge. For me to eat and get around my "durian forest", an allowance of 300-400 SGD per month is barely enough . On top of that, I need to pay for my tuition fees.. Save up for my long awaited graduation trip (which is not so soon).. Replace my "helicopter" sounding laptop... Otherwise known as~ I need more pocket money syndrome!! $$~

For some odd reason XP <--- it kinda looks like the emoticon with eyes crossed and tongue sticking out~ XP has remained as one of the more popular OS (operating system) for several years due to its stability and performance. However for those who are still using XP is time to say good bye~ Yes~ Microsoft has officially announced that XP will be retiring on April 8 2014. Windows XP will be killed off next month by Microsoft! :(

You might have heard before Printer ink is one of the few expensive liquids in the world. What fascinates me is that it actually costs more than your blood. Yes its price value is higher than human blood! OH MY! Since Im a college student I'll need to get my lecture notes printed out at least once every other day. If I could just donate my blood to this money sucking machine I'd probably save up a few hundreds by now. And don't you ask me to go paperless,  having hard copy study materials at hand is much more feasible, especially if I were to take my notes.

Yeah~ bought myself a new shiny mug today! Due to my mishandling, my mug always has to be made from either plastic or metal. lol Hmm.. somehow it has got this big ugly label stuck on it. New Metal Mug I'll just have to remove it.. Not long ago I've tired some soaking recycled mason jar in hot water.. but it doesn't work that well for me. That is because the adhesives used on these labels are not water soluble. Sticker area often remains sticky.  When I use a cleaning scrub to scrub away the residue, the green little fibres fell off and got stuck on the adhesive surface. A pretty messy process which I regretted doing... eek.

I was reading about info-graphics on the web the other day and manage to stumble upon this. Have always loved word art: calligraphy, ambigram.. etc If you like word art and collage , you would probably like this. Known by many as the shoppers' paradise, Singapore has at least around 250 malls and centers. Its no wonder Singaporeans next most favorited pastime is to shop (other than being a glutton). Since festive season is drawing near.. let me ask you.. Where do you think is the best place to get your latest cheap deals ? Bing-bong! You guessed it. Is the net! Concrete stores retailers do not always offer the same promotions as to what they do at their online stores. Reason is because online shops are cheaper to run, they dont have to bother much about their rent, electric bills and some other overhead expenses compared to a shop front business. And is not surprising to find plenty of hot deals, coupons and discounts sites around here.

Heavy rainfalls.. water ponding.. zzz. Dang.. my usb thumb drive got drenched! and now it's dead. Considered myself lucky as I was not given any holiday assignments. If not, I'll be having a hard time recovering the files. yeah whatever~ is time to look for a new stick. In the past, a decent portable storage drive would probably cost around 20 bucks at least. A good working flash drive now would only costs you 10 bucks or even less. Although the primary uses of a usb flash drive is for backup, files transfer and data storage but these days the design of this little guy seems to be getting more and more flashy. Well, I guess it has got some aesthetic function to serve as well since everyone is carrying it around with them wherever they go~ So lets take a look at some of these interesting personal usb flash drives that I found on-line.

Wouldn't it be nice if you were able to find out the exact place of where a photo was taken just by doing a similarity image search on your computer?? There is a reverse image search service by Google and it has been around for a while. However not everyone knows about this tool. Needless to say, how to go about using it.

I've always been fascinated with collage artwork. Be it text ( word collage ) or pictures. Long gone are the days where we need to do all the manual cutting and pasting. Now most photos were digitally edited and kept as a digital photo book. Some of you may be wondering how your friends are able make these wonderful photo montage on Facebook or Photobucket? How were they able to put several pictures into one image? Did they use some kind of digital photo editing software like Aperture or Photoshop? Well, I doubt they did~ Because using such programs to create image collage requires a good amount time and skills. You'd probably need to read though a few photo editing tutorials before you can do anything. The easier method is to use an online collage maker software. We are actually the first Southeast-Asian country to get street view in 2009.  By dragging little yellow "Pegman" icon you can virtually fly though any street featured on the Google map.
